About this image:
| These beautiful moss rimmed trees are on the west end of the pull-out at Wingate Bar River Access on the Klamath River. I had seen these trees about a year earlier than went this image was created on February 3, 2006. Since it is located right on HWY 96, I looked at these trees everytime I drove from Happy Camp to Orleans. February 3rd was the perfect day for the image. It was late afternoon with the sun just as it is leaving the valley behind the mountains to the west. If you look close at the background, it is already in shade from the escapeing afternoon sunlight. The Klamath is located just behind, 20 yards, these trees. |
