About this image:
| I was driving just south of Eureka, CA when I saw this wonderful light shining in this little wooded area along side Highway 101. I started running around this creek like a frantic child who'd lost their teddy bear, because I knew the light wouldn't last very long. I found this location and only got one shoot before the light faded away. Boy, did I pray when I got back home and took the film to the lab. And man-o-man, did I jump when I saw the image at the lab! This is one of my and my wife's favorite images. Standing and looking at it as a large print is just beautiful. The detail of the tree trunk that is only 2 feet from the camera and feeling the depth of the distance and the warm glowing light in the background just makes my heart dance a little jig. Exposure settings: f45 for 3 minutes 15 seconds. |
