About this image:
The glow of late afternoon was simply too perfect to pass by. I found this image earlier in the day and came back with the hopes that the light would do something just like this on the trees. I didn't expect the grasses and the far mountain to also glow. I spent 2-nights, 3-days on along this stretch of the Klamath. On the day that I came out and got back to asphalt, I drove 40 miles to Ashland, Oregon to get gas. Once I filled the truck with gas and tried to start the engine. It just wouldn't turn over. The gravel road that I had been on for the past 3-days was so rough that it caused the battery to crack. All I can do is say thank you to God for allowing to get out. Why? Because, for the 3-days along the river, I never once saw another person and drove some 16 miles deep into this empty country. I would have been in BIG trouble if the battery had stopped working during those 3-days along the river. |
