About this image:
This image was created mid-morning when most photographers think that the light is too high to create any interest in a photograph. I still can't believe that the people who live in this section of the Klamath River Valley don't see a sunrise or a sunset. The height and steepness of the surrounding mountains prevents them from seeing the sky except what is directly over head. The light from the sun didn't hit the river until about 9am this September morning. I like the snaking of the river and how the sun lights the foreground area along the river and then the tall mountain face in the background. There is clearing in the background in the shape of a triangle that caught my attention, it really moves your eye upwards and then back down to the glistening of the river. Exposure settings: f64.3 for only 1 second. |
