About this image:

Snow! On July 9th, 2005! Yes, it was also still very cold on this hike. It was 2-miles up hill to get here and I went another mile or so past this spot.  As you may have already noticed, this image was at an altitude of 6,650 feet, but still SNOW IN JULY?  The small Boulder Lakes are just over the ridge that you see here.  I want to revisit this location for a photograph of the lakes and the view that is behind me of Scott Valley.  The lighting was not right for that shot of the lakes and the valley.
