About this image:
| This is image was the second one that I found on my walk up the Narrows. The Narrows is a through the waters of the Virgin River as it passes through what is called the Narrows. I was taking another image when I looked back down stream and saw what the sun was doing on the cliff face behind the yellow leafed trees. The sun was rising above the cliff that you see here, directly lighting the cliff on the opposite side creating beautiful, glowing light on this area. The blue is created from water seeping down the face and reflecting the blue sky to the right. The waters of the Virgin River are just out of the bottom edge of the frame. Just as I was ready to make the exposure, a group of 15 hiking past through my frame. As they came to my side of the river some pulled out their point-n-shoot cameras to take the same picture, at least that was their intention. I also had to answer a few questions about their cameras and exposure settings before I was allowed to finish my picture. No, I didn't mind. |
